The application by Ambassador Residential will see 13 terraced homes and four semi-detached properties delivered at the site of former commercial laundry premises on Thornliebank Road.

An original proposal for 28 flats and eight houses was opposed by the council’s planning department.

Their report states: “Following various meetings with the planning department the applicant reviewed their proposal and amended the proposal…down to 17 dwelling houses.”

Councillors on Glasgow’s planning applications committee voted to approve the revised application.

All the new properties will have three floors, with garage/carport taking up the ground floors and living accommodation on upper storeys.
