Alex Salmond to attend Gordon hustings

SFHAA hustings in Gordon tonight will see candidates and spokespeople from the main political parties questioned about their plans to tackle the housing crisis and improve social housing in the North East; and on their intentions to deliver new powers on housing for Scotland.

The housing hustings held at 6:30pm at Inverurie Town Hall is being co-hosted by Aberdeenshire Housing Partnership and Scottish Federation of Housing Associations (SFHA) in the Gordon Constituency.

The theme of the hustings is Housing Perspectives on Additional Powers for Scotland and the debate will be chaired by acclaimed broadcaster and journalist Frank Gilfeather. The five main parties in Scotland have been invited to put forward their candidates, to answer questions on the theme and on other issues that are key to housing in Gordon.

The candidates/party spokespeople confirmed to attend are:

  • Labour - Braden Davy
  • SNP – Alex Salmond
  • Lib Dem – Christine Jardine
  • Tory – Alex Johnstone MSP
