Almond Housing Association is looking ahead to the next 25 years as it prepares for the departure of George Webster and the appointment of a new CEO.

After forty-one years of dedication to the people of West Lothian and twenty-six years of leading Almond Housing Association, George Webster has announced his plans to retire.

Martin Joyce, chairman of the Association, said: “The board of Almond HA are deeply grateful and indebted to George for the leadership and management skills which he has continuously demonstrated and applied throughout his lengthy tenure as CEO. It is these guiding characteristics which have not only placed Almond HA in a very strong and stable position within the social housing sector in West Lothian but nationally and this positive position is often reflected by the Regulator and other partners. 

“The board wishes to express its profound gratitude and thanks to George for his extensive service to both AHA and the community and wish him a very enjoyable and well-deserved retirement.

“The board now have the task of securing a worthy successor to George to ensure that the continuing success of the organisation, alongside the remaining senior management team, for a further 25 years.”
