CALA Homes has started work on its Lethame Green development in Strathaven.

Consisting of 53 four and five-bedroom family homes, Lethame Green which is located off Lethame Road in the heart of the town.

Planning for the site was approved by South Lanarkshire Council in October 2016 and as part of the planning consent, CALA Homes will provide a financial contribution towards affordable housing and carry out upgrades along Lethame Road.

CALA has introduced a traffic management plan as part of the planning condition requirements for the site which will direct construction traffic onto an alternative back road – which also has access to the site – to help alleviate pressure on Lethame Road. The homebuilder will also seek to liaise directly with local residents to ensure that any disruption during the construction phase of development is kept to a minimum.

Work is expected to continue over the coming months with first residents expected to take entry to their new homes in November 2017.
