Castlehill Housing Association appoints new director

Isla Gray

Isla is currently the operations director at Horizon Housing Association in Livingston and will be taking over from Gail Robertson who is moving to be director of Angus Housing Association.

Castlehill Housing Association was established in 1970 and provides a variety of housing across the North East of Scotland, meeting the needs of a diverse spectrum of people.

Isla is well acquainted with Aberdeen, having been based there in the early stages of her career where she worked with both the local authority and 3rd sector organisations directly related to homelessness and housing. Isla will begin her employment with Castlehill in November this year.

Chief executive officer of Castlehill Housing Association, David Lappin, said: “We are pleased to have appointed Isla Gray for the role of Director of Housing and Property Services. Isla joins us from Horizon Housing Association. Isla has experience and vision which will serve Castlehill well as we go into our 50th year. All the applicants were exceptionally strong, but Isla stood out with her experience and enthusiasm. We are pleased she has accepted the post and look forward to working with her.”

Paying tribute to outgoing director Gail Robertson, Mr Lappin said: “Gail has been with us for 16 years and has worked tirelessly to help shape the organisation into its current form, our loss is undoubtedly Angus Housing Association’s gain.”

Isla Gray added: “I’m delighted to be joining Castlehill, an organisation with an excellent reputation for high-quality customer-focused services and strong values. I’m looking forward to working with the tenants, staff and committee to continue the excellent work of the Association and I’m really pleased to be joining a team that is so committed to the communities that it serves. I can’t wait to get started.”
