Cordale Housing Association wins business award

Cordale Housing Association were delighted to win the Best Performing Business (Under 25 Employees) Award at the Working4Business Gala Awards Dinner.

The Working4Business Awards celebrate the success and achievements of local businesses in West Dunbartonshire with Cordale named as one of three finalists short listed for the Best Performing Business (Under 25 Employees) category in April of this year.

The award is an excellent accolade for Cordale Housing Association who were up against strong and varied competition in the category, and the award is recognition of the quality of performance, services and outcomes Cordale provide to tenants and the commitment of all staff to deliver the highest standards.

Margaret McCallion, chairperson of Cordale Housing Association Chairperson, said: “Cordale were honoured and proud to receive this award. Our focus is to be the best landlord we can be, providing our tenants with quality housing and excellent services. This type of external recognition is great to receive, as it provides assurance what we are doing is having a positive impact and we are making a difference.

“Nonetheless, we are not standing still and have a lot more to accomplish. We are building a new office in the heart of Renton, replacing empty shops that have been derelict for years, and in partnership with Caledonia Housing Association, a significant number of new affordable homes will be built in Renton and Alexandria over the next few years.

“This recognition reflects the hard work and dedication of our committee, staff and support of our partners. Meanwhile the foundations that enabled these achievements were established a few years ago. Our former Chairperson, Isabel Barr, who sadly passed away a couple of years ago, provided the leadership and direction necessary to deliver the improvements we see today. Isabel more than anyone helped get Cordale to where we are and this award reflects her immense contribution to Cordale.”
