West Lothian CouncilA consultation has been launched on plans to build 117 new homes in Livingston.

West Lothian Council is inviting the public to submit their views on the Deans South redevelopment project.

Planning permission has already been granted for parts of the estate to be transformed.

With the council planning to submit an application in principle for housing development on other parts of the estate, a Public Consultation Open Day is being held at Livingston Station Community Education Centre from 2pm – 8pm on Thursday, 16 February.

Representatives will be able to discuss the site, the emerging proposals and respond to any queries or comments.

Alistair Shaw, the council’s head of housing, customer and building services, said: “The council is committed to developing Deans South and improving the local community. We look forward to engaging with members of the public on our proposals.

“This is an opportunity for members of the public to hear about the plans, ask any questions and have their say on the proposals before plans are submitted. We would welcome any feedback on the proposals and look forward to meeting with those who would like to hear more about our plans or ask any questions.”
