Date set for Scottish Housing Day 2020

Scottish Housing Day will return for its fifth year of celebrating housing in Scotland with this year’s focus being the value of social housing.

Date set for Scottish Housing Day 2020

On September 16, the housing world will come together virtually with a line-up of speakers including the minister for local government, housing and planning, Kevin Stewart MSP.

More details will be revealed next month.

A message on the Scottish Housing Day website reads: “We all know a safe, secure, warm, good quality, affordable home is vital to wellbeing. The current COVID pandemic has more than ever made it clear how important social housing is so we want you to take part in the day and share your thoughts and experiences around the value of social housing.

“You can do this in a number of ways. First, become a supporter. Every year support for Scottish Housing Day gets bigger and bigger with more support, more profile and more impact. Do get involved and sign up. We want all landlords, third sector organisations, tenants organisations, developers, builders – in fact anyone involved in housing in Scotland – to let everyone know that they support Scottish Housing Day. Let’s celebrate social housing together.”
