Dealing with Difficult Conversations – Summer sessions

SHARE’s Summer sessions is a series of six half day training courses aimed at those new to management or who hope to progress into management role in the future.

Next is in the series is Dealing with difficult conversations which takes place on Tuesday 2nd July.

Everyone deals with difficult conversations at work, but for new or aspiring managers, there may be conversations to be had which are, for you, previously unchartered territory.  This may be discussing performance issues, it may be mediating a dispute, or it may be about initiating changes within your team or department.

This half-day session is designed to offer delegates a roadmap through any type of difficult or daunting conversation, regardless of the subject matter.  It will consider different types of difficult conversation and what makes them difficult, the effective use of praise and criticism and how this affects team performance and morale, and what makes for successful conversations.

Regardless of your role, everyone experiences conversations that are difficult, this course will give delegates the confidence to approach the conversations with confidence and the tools to find a positive and constructive way forward for all parties.
