Development Spotlight: Central Bellsmyre – West Dunbartonshire Council

    Significant features (e.g. secured by design, eco friendly etc): The houses have been built to spacious standards and are accessible to people with mobility issues, meeting the “Housing for Varying Needs” benchmark. All the houses are designed with energy efficiency in mind to help reduce energy costs for future tenants and meeting Section 7, Silver Level of the 2011 Building Regulations in respect of both Carbon Dioxide Emissions and Energy for Space Heating. “Safe by Design” accreditation was achieved following consultation with Police Scotland.

    Any wider role involvement (e.g. apprentices taken on, public art, schools project etc): Robertsons have been shortlisted for a “Considerate Constructors Scheme” award and have exceeded virtually all of their KPI targets in the Employment Skills Plan for School/College/University visits, work experience delivered and employment of apprentices. There was particularly close working with the two Primary Schools adjacent to the project.
