Hillcrest fundraisers receive goodwill with a side of Christmas spirit

Dominos in Dundee grabbed a pizza the fundraising action when they donated lunch to the wining team of Hillcrest Housing Association’s 50 grand to lend a hand challenge.

As part of Hillcrest’s 50th anniversary celebrations, staff were challenged to collectively raise 50 grand for a range of charities and causes.

Clare McNally, Hillcrest fundraising and grants officer, said: “Our winning team of our 50 Grand to Lend a Hand fundraising activities were Tequila Mockingbird, who raised an amazing £10,500 for the Archie Foundation, Breast Cancer and Ward 32 at Ninewells hospital.

“Overall our 50 Grand to Lend a hand events raised £66,117 for various charities which is our biggest fundraising achievement to date. Tequila Mockingbird played a huge role in helping us achieve this.

“We wanted to reward the team with a celebration lunch so were delighted when Dominos agreed to donate pizza for free.”

Stephen Robson, operations manager for Dominos Dundee and Arbroath, added: “I was very impressed to hear about Hillcrest’s fundraising efforts. What an achievement and definitely worthy of a celebration which Dominos was happy to help out with.”

Staff from Tequila Moicking Bird were treated to their Christmas pizza delivery at their office at Tom Johnston Road which aptly tied in with their annual Christmas jumper day.
