Hillcrest’s Energy Advice Team (HEAT) has launched a single-question survey to find out what Scottish households’ experience of energy use has been over lockdown to help understand the impacts the lockdown may have had.

The survey, which is open to any household – not just Hillcrest tenants, presents a single open-ended question, asking “What has been your experience of using energy during the lockdown?”

Responses are being invited either by recording a short video of the respondent offering their views, which can be sent by private message to the Hillcrest Facebook page, or by filling in the open-ended comment box here.

Craig Thompson, HEAT adviser, said: “The current pandemic and resulting lockdown may have had wide-ranging effects on household energy use, and we are keen to hear people’s stories. Many may have experienced higher bills and increased stress, while others might have seen very little impact. Either way, HEAT would love to hear from as many respondents as possible from a variety of tenure types.”
