Home Group gets green light for Dennistoun mid-market rent apartments

Home Group has been granted planning permission to transform a former Glasgow nursing home site into 36 flats.

The landlord will now progress its plans to create one and two-bedroom mid-market rent apartments at the old Peter McEachran House in Dennistoun.

Provision for 24 car parking spaces is also included in the designs by Grant Murray Architects.

The building, parking areas and formal front gardens at Kennyhill Square were demolished in summer 2018.

Stuart Dixon, head of development and delivery at Home Group Scotland, told Scottish Housing News: “We are absolutely delighted to have secured planning permission for 36 mid-market rent flats at the former nursing home at Kennyhill Square in Glasgow.

“These properties will be built to exceptionally high standards and with an outstanding contemporary design and will overlook the stunning park. We’re always proud to be able to provide much needed affordable homes for households with modest incomes.”
