Mr Strang left his position on June 5.

A spokesperson for the housing association said: “Our chief executive Jim Strang has retired from Parkhead Housing Association as at 5 June 2020.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank Jim for his hard work and commitment to PHA and wish him a long, healthy and happy retirement.”

Jim Strang was elected vice-chair of the Chartered Institute of Housing in 2017 before taking the role of president in 2018.

During his term, Mr Strang championed the work of Women’s Aid and the charity’s work to tackle domestic abuse.
