Lorraine Kelly boosts Shelter Scotland fashion show with dress donation

Lorraine_Kelly_dresses_webTV favourite Lorraine Kelly has got Shelter Scotland’s Dundee fashion show off to a fantastic start by donating two of her own dresses for the event.

Dundee’s most famous celebrity interviewer was originally invited to compere the event which takes place on Sunday 29th October at the Malmaison Hotel on Whitehall Crescent.

Karen Kelbie, Shelter Scotland shop manager, said: “We knew Lorraine was likely to be too busy to come along in person and so we are just thrilled that she has been able to show her support for our cause by donating two lovely summer dresses to the fashion show.

“Dundee businesses have also rallied round and we have wonderful raffle prizes including a necklace and bracelet given to us by local jeweller Stephen Henderson. I can’t thank everyone enough for all the help they have given us.”

Staff and volunteers at our shops in Dundee and Broughty Ferry have hand-picked the clothes to be worn by the models, featuring the latest looks and some vintage glamour.

Alison Watson, deputy director Shelter Scotland, said: “Our shops are at the heart of their local communities and it is wonderful to see the support the staff and volunteers are being given by the people of Dundee.

“Every penny we raise goes towards our work helping badly housed and homeless people in Scotland so attending this Fashion Show can mean grabbing a bargain and helping someone keep a roof over their head.”

The event opens at the Malmaison Hotel at 12.30pm on Sunday 29th October with the first models going down the runway at 2.30pm. Entry is £15 and includes a buffet.
