Established in 1995, the Network now has 132 members representing, for the first in its history, all 32 local authorities and 100 housing associations covering the length and breadth of Scotland.

The most recent addition was Hawthorn Housing Co-operative and its director Colin Turnbull said: “The Co-op has decided to become members of the Network because we believe it will help us do a bit better in some areas we had identified in our self-assessment; particularly in benchmarking our performance with others and in assessing our value for money.”

Scotland’s Housing Network chair, Bill Banks, added: “We are delighted to welcome our new members. It is great to achieve another milestone in our membership numbers as more and more social landlords recognise the benefits membership of the Network can bring.

“This growth in membership is a testament to the excellent team we have at SHN and their ability to deliver relevant, practical and cost-effective services for our members. We know from speaking to our new members that our forums, self-assessment and value for money services are particularly appreciated.”
