Oak Tree Housing Association pilots new mobile app
Oak Tree Housing Association is piloting a new, free mobile app for its tenants.
The app is intended to provide tenants with greater and more personalised access to its information and advice.
Housing manager Hazel Aitken said: “As more people now use their mobile phones over PCs and laptops, we have introduced this dedicated app, which carries useful features for both existing and even potential tenants. The app provides access to our wide range of online resources including the Oak Tree tenant portal, where tenants can pay rent, log repairs, access documentation and much more. Easy one-touch buttons provide direct links to our social media channels and contact details, such as email and phone, as well as useful details like opening hours.”
She added: “People can view the latest Oak Tree newsletter and also search for a new home via a direct link to the Inverclyde Common Housing Register website. Links to wider action groups, Energy Activators and Financial Fitness, are also provided. The app is already proving popular with many tenants.”
Oak Tree is currently gathering feedback to establish how user-friendly tenants find the new app and what services and information they are accessing with it. If it continues to prove a beneficial, welcome addition, then following this trial, which concludes at the end of September, consideration will be given to developing further features, such as introducing access to the tenant handbook, and more.
The Oak Tree Housing Association mobile phone app is now available to download for free on both Apple and Google Play app stores.
