The revised scheme, designed by LMA Architects, of 20 new homes by Hayhill Developments was re-submitted in March after extensive discussions with East Ayrshire Council and will provide much needed affordable homes for the area.

The site was allocated to housing in the last local plan review and remained unbuilt during the recession.

The scheme comprises 10, 2 bed and 10, 3 bed units with construction expected to start later this year.

The proposals are respectful of the rural context using a mix of 2 storey and 1 ½ storey properties carefully organised to minimise the visual impact within the landscape.
