River Clyde Homes to host free family fun day

River Clyde HomesRiver Clyde Homes is inviting people to get in the summer mood by joining it for a free family fun day in Greenock on Saturday 20 June.

Last year’s event attracted over 700 people, many of whom gave valuable feedback on the way the association provides its services.

This year, the event is at the same location at West College Scotland Waterfront Campus from 11am – 3pm.

River Clyde Homes is working with local organisation RIG Arts and have planned a fun day for all the family, with plenty of things for the kids to do. There will be a bouncy castle, face-painting, the animal man, children’s sideshow games with ice cream for the winners and arts and crafts activities. And it’s all free. All that’s needed is the brilliant weather enjoyed last year and for people to join in.

Behind it all, there’s an opportunity for customers to consult with River Clyde Homes on what really matters them. This can be about their home, their neighbourhood, energy bills or anything else. Members of staff will be there to talk to customers about what matters to them in the years ahead. Everyone who leaves an opinion will be entered into a prize draw, with a chance to win one of two iPad minis.

River Clyde Homes is asking everyone who comes along to bring a food donation as it attempts a massive ‘art attack’. All the donations will be given to the Inverclyde Foodbank initiative. The Foodbank in particular needs UHT milk, pasta sauce, diluting juice, rice pudding (tinned) and sugar.

Keith Moore, communications manager at River Clyde Homes, said: “We’re hoping for a brilliant day of fun. We hope our customers will come along and tell us their views and I would encourage people to bring food donations to help support the local foodbank. It’s a great way to kick-start the summer holidays.

“It’s a great way to kick-start the summer holiday and it’s a fun way for customers to have a say in the things we do.”
