Scottish Government appoints Indigo House to research short-term lets
The Scottish Government has commissioned consultancy firm Indigo House to undertake research into the positive and negative impacts of short-term lets.
The government previously announced a consultation on the regulation of short-term lets, which will run until 19 July.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Government said: “Alongside our consultation on a regulatory framework for short-term lets, the Scottish Government has published research annexes which summarise the available evidence on short-term lets in Scotland.
“We have also commissioned Indigo House to undertake a research project which will explore the positive and negative impacts of short-term lets on communities, with a focus on neighbourhoods and housing.
“It will involve short-term lets hosts, residents, local businesses and community actors across five locations in Scotland. The final research report will be published on the Scottish Government website later this year.”
