SHARE: Covenants, COVID and long-term financial planning

There is no doubt that the pandemic will affect the finances of every association and co-operative. You may have higher arrears and the risks this entails, it may have stalled development plans or it may be that the circumstances created by the pandemic mean that you may be at risk breaching your covenants.

In a world where it seems difficult to plan for anything, SHARE is running a half-day course which has been designed to help those involved in finance and planning to clear some of the fog, dispel some myths, look at the real but manageable risks and consider the challenge of ensuring issues like affordability do not fall off the agenda whilst trying to balance the books at this difficult time.

The course is led by housing finance consultant Paul McNeill and delegates will have the opportunity to discuss some of the big issues as well as consider the way forward with colleagues. All of this should ensure that delegates leave the session feeling more confident.

We may not know what the future looks like but knowing how to spot, manage and mitigate risks whilst considering the future aspirations of your organisation will help to ensure that your association is well prepared and well protected in the future.

Covenants, Covid and long –term financial planning takes place via Zoom on 19th October from 9.30am – 12.30pm. You can find out more about the course and book your place HERE
