SURF Awards open for entries with new housing category

SURF-Awards-logo-300x159The 2017 SURF Awards have now opened with a brand new Housing Award and will be accepting applications until 5pm on September 18.

The awards are delivered each year by SURF, an independent network of regeneration organisations, in partnership with the Scottish Government. The purpose is to highlight, celebrate and share excellence and innovation in initiatives addressing physical, social and economic problems in communities across Scotland.

This year the five categories will be:

  • Community Led Regeneration
  • Youth Employment: Overcoming Barriers
  • Scotland’s Most Improved Place
  • Housing
  • Creative Regeneration
  • The process will conclude with an Annual Awards Dinner at the Grand Central Hotel, Glasgow, on December 7.

To coincide with the awards, SURF will be running a Caption Competition for the duration of the application period.
