Taylor Wimpey East Scotland secures planning for new homes in Wallyford
Taylor Wimpey East Scotland has secured detailed planning permission from East Lothian Council for the development of 69 new homes at St Clements Wells in Wallyford.
The site forms part of the St Clements Wells masterplan which extends to 160 acres in total and includes a new primary school, secondary school, local centre and community woodland, as well as the provision of new footpaths and cycleways to connect the development to the village of Wallyford.
Pauline Mills, land & planning director for Taylor Wimpey East Scotland, said: “We are delighted to confirm that our proposals for a development of 69 new homes in Wallyford have been approved by East Lothian Council.
“Our development is ideally placed to benefit from excellent transport links whilst also enjoying superb views and new local amenities. As a five-star builder, we believe that the style and quality of our new homes will appeal to a wide range of buyers.
” Our site forms part of the wider St Clements Wells development and we are delighted to kick off this year with a positive planning decision. This will allow our pre-construction works to begin within the next few months and our range of new homes to be launched for sale in summer this year.”
Jonathan Brindle from East Lothian Developments added: “We are delighted to welcome Taylor Wimpey to St Clements Wells and look forward to seeing construction under way on their site in 2020.
“The houses they have planned will complement and enhance the rest of the development at St Clements Wells, and we have no doubt that they will prove popular with purchasers looking to settle in this attractive location. We look forward to seeing the new residents at the development in 2020.”
