Taylor Wimpey secures planning permission for latest Dargavel Village development



Taylor Wimpey West Scotland has received planning consent from Renfrewshire Council for the provision of 249 new homes through the development of land off Craigton Drive, Dargavel Village, Bishopton. 

This latest development extends the housebuilder’s commitment to playing its role in the delivery of the masterplan vision for the Dargavel Village area, which in time will include a new primary school, a health centre facility and community spaces, a retail and leisure hub, as well as a new junction off the M8 motorway.  

The 21.16-acre brownfield site is already identified for housing within the Dargavel Village masterplan and the development represents a significant investment in the local area by Taylor Wimpey West Scotland. It will deliver an impressive range of three, four and five-bedroom homes in a variety of styles and sizes to appeal to a wide range of customers.

The development also includes plans for a new footpath link to the surrounding development over the Cordite Burn, which lies to the west of the site, as well as the associated infrastructure needed for a development of this nature.
