With traditional events unable to go ahead due to COVID, the Association was happy to take the suggestion for a competition from a tenant who wanted to help spread some Christmas cheer in the neighbourhood.

Winners in the four categories, Best House, Best Garden, Best Balcony and Best Window, each won a £50 gift card for their creative festive light display.

Councillor Elaine Ballantyne, who judged the competition, said: “I was honoured to be asked to judge the wonderful Christmas light displays in Wellhouse last year. It was certainly a close competition with so many entries making Wellhouse much more brighter and festive for what was a ‘different’ Christmas.

“Congratulations to all the winners and thanks to Wellhouse Housing Association for recognising resident’s creativity in making their community more colourful and cheerful with some fantastic Christmas displays.”
