This event is open to all housing professionals (staff and volunteers) to celebrate the contribution of women to the social housing sector.

Pauline Munro, SHARE’s marketing & events manager, said: “We are so happy to be able to deliver this event in 2021. Part of the attraction last year was the fabulous networking opportunities it brought. Whilst we can’t quite do networking in the same way with a remote delivery, we will work with delegates to put them in touch with each other. The programme is excellent and we are looking forward to welcome delegates and speakers.”

International Women’s Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. This year’s theme is #ChooseToChallenge. SHARE’s Women in Housing Scotland conference takes place on the 5th March to coincide with International Women’s Day.

The conference programme is designed to motivate and inspire attendees, and will include workshops such as Burnout - knowing the signs, Retirement planning for women, Staying well at work (in uncertain times), Negative self-talk - stop beating yourself up and transformational leadership.

Anna Devitt, founder of Direct Devitt and Comedy & Confidence, is back for the opening keynote this year. Anna will bring some fun and laughter as well as highlight some great positive stories from the previous year, hints and tips on how to remain resilient and how to, as a person, take moments to be you. 

We welcome Helen Greig who is the newly appointed Managing Director of Women in social housing (WISH). WISH is a networking organisation for women in the social housing sector across the UK.

The final keynote A career in housing will be delivered by Lorraine Usher, Director, Loreburn Housing Association. Lorraine will talk about her journey to the post she now holds.

This is the only conference of its kind in Scotland with an opportunity to learn, develop, network and celebrate. It’s is not to be missed.
