24-home apartment block planned for Meadow Place Road
Plans have been submitted for 24 homes on the site of an existing car park on Meadow Place Road in Edinburgh.
Westpoint Homes and Fouin + Bell Architects aim to deliver the cycle-friendly apartments on the 0.6-acre site.
The rectangular block seeks to reference a neighbouring police station and comes with recessed communal entrances.
Amenity space will be provided on private ground to the rear.
The architects wrote: “The proposal is to provide 20 two-bedroom and four three-bedroom flats in a simple four-storey block. A shared surface road provides access to the resident’s parking located to the rear. 18 parking spaces are provided.
“Six cycle stores provide resident’s with 48 secure cycle spaces, an additional cycle stand is provided at each Meadow Place Road flat entrance for visitors.”
