500 Link staff celebrate improving lives at staff conference
Almost 500 staff from across the Link group of social enterprises gathered at Edinburgh’s Corn Exchange last week to attend the organisation’s staff conference.
During the ‘Improving Lives’ themed afternoon event, staff enjoyed video updates from across the group, a presentation from Scotland’s first openly gay minister Scott Rennie and music from the Link Toon Choir.
Another highlight from the day was a quiz on Link’s history hosted by Link’s chief executive, Craig Sanderson, who said: “With it being my last staff conference as CEO, I felt it was a good opportunity to check staff had been paying due attention to what we had achieved.
“I was pleasantly surprised by the response - I received only a few heckles.”
Craig, who has been Link’s chief executive for 31 years, is set to retire from his role on January 31.
Jon Turner, currently group director of treasury at Wheatley, will join Link as its new CEO on 7 January 2019.
