94 new homes approved in Banff
The local authority approved plans for private and affordable homes, which will be located just off Golden Knowes Road, to the edge of the town.
The development includes two, three and four-bedroom homes, as well as two-bedroom cottage flats. It has been carefully designed to be spacious, with ample green space and a play park for children. The new homes will also be well connected to the wider town with footpaths and cycle routes planned throughout the site.
Springfield Properties’ north sales manager, Joyce Hadden, said: “Now our designs have been given the green light, we will be aiming to go on sale later this year.
“We’re really pleased to be able to offer our high quality and energy efficient homes to the people of Banff. Of the total, 27 of the homes on the site will be for general sale, meaning they will qualify for Help to Buy and be ideal for first time buyers. They’d even suit growing families wanting to move up the ladder and those looking to downsize.
“The remaining 67 of the homes approved for the development will be affordable and we are working with a local housing association to deliver these.”
