Aberdeen bakery to make way for new flats
Development firm Cater Group has unveiled plans for new apartments on the site of a former bakery in Aberdeen.
Following its acquisition of the Chalmers Bakery site on Auchmill Road, the company intends to submit a planning application for a flatted development in its place.
Client executive Glen Smith told our sister publication Scottish Construction Now: “We (Cater Group) are delighted to have secured another site in Aberdeen. We have developments across Scotland and the UK, but it’s always great to secure sites closer to home, and a stone throw away from our Aberdeen office on Great Northern Road.
“Proposals for the new flatted development look exciting, I think it will be a unique building. Plans are to be submitted in the very near future to demolish the building and build a flatted development. With signs of the property market in Aberdeen picking up, we are excited for our upcoming developments throughout the city.”
