Aberdeen Cyrenians to host family fun event to search for misbehaving elves and win prizes
Aberdeen Cyrenians is asking for families to help Santa this year, searching for misbehaving elves playing hide and seek at Duthie Park.
This fun and inclusive, family friendly event will take place in Duthie Park from 10th – 23rd December.
There are 25 cheeky elves to find using a special downloadable or physical map and families are asked to take an #elfie to be entered into the prize draw. Families can participate at any time and there will be extra help available at the Winter Gardens Foyer, 10.30am-1pm on weekends and on the final day Friday 23rd.
The charity are also running a quiet session on Sunday 18th 9am - 10am.
This year’s festive event is to help Santa who is counting on families to search out and locate the misbehaving elves so he can pick them up on Christmas Eve when he flies over Aberdeen.
To join the hunt, visit weareac.org/elf-hunt to download the map, or visit Duthie Park at the Winter Gardens and either pick up or download the Elf map there to get hunting! Donations would be very welcome but are optional to ensure everyone is able to participate. Funding raised will go towards supporting people overwhelmed by crisis so that no one has to struggle alone.
Leah Brews, fundraising coordinator, Aberdeen Cyrenians, said: “We are excited to launch this year’s festive Elf Hunt which is set to be a fun filled event for families of all ages.
“We really wanted to make sure it was accessible to all and give back to our community that provides such vital support in helping people affected by crisis. This year has again been difficult for so many, so we really value our communities continued support.
“We’d also like to say a big thank you to our supporters who have generously donated fantastic prizes with a range of family passes to be won.”
