Abernethy set for affordable homes after Hadden approval
Perthshire-based housebuilder Hadden Homes has gained planning consent to build 29 private family homes for sale plus 10 affordable homes in the village of Abernethy.
The development has been designed to give a mix of bungalows, semi-detached and detached family homes. In addition to the private homes the development is also delivering ten affordable homes on behalf of Perth & Kinross Council.
The homes on Newburgh Road, Abernethy are within five minutes of the local school, Abernethy Primary. The development is contributing £187,340 to education, and £76,531 to transport infrastructure.
As part of the development, Hadden Homes is also investing in the community and engaging with the local schools and organisations.
Hadden Group’s community engagement officer, Kirsty Clements, has made plans to visit Abernethy Primary School to deliver a presentation on site safety in order to deter children from entering building sites and jeopardising their safety. The presentation will be rounded off by launching a Hadden Homes sponsored poster competition for the children of the school to get involved in, and further implement the message set out by the presentation.
The winning posters will be displayed on the fencing around their building site and will stay there for the duration of the development.
David Reid of Hadden Homes said: “We are delighted to be able to progress our site in Abernethy and look forward to delivering another development of carefully designed and value for money rural family homes.”
