Leaving to pursue new opportunities, Mr Macaulay will also vacate his roles at Albyn subsidiaries Albyn Enterprises Ltd and Highland Residential.

“We will now be launching our search for a new chief executive, who we intend to have in post ahead of Calum’s departure. This will be an opportunity to develop the work he has already started in positioning the organisation for the future as an innovative and customer-focused provider of affordable homes in the Highlands.”

Confirming his departure on LinkedIn, Calum said: “I’ve been here 28 years, as of last week, and it is time to move on. We’ve achieved a heck of a lot during that time and I am pleased to be leaving behind a professional, caring, vibrant, growing, innovative and ambitious social enterprise, charity and registered social landlord.

“Albyn makes a positive difference to so many people and communities across the Scottish Highlands. I am pleased to have played a part alongside numerous employees and Board members across Albyn Housing, Highland Residential (Inverness) and Albyn Enterprises.”
