Albyn Housing Society board member Isabell McLaughlan passes away
Isabell McLaughlan, a board member at Albyn Housing Society and vice-chair of the Performance Committee, sadly passed away last month following a short illness.
Isabell was a stalwart in the housing community in Scotland and made a tremendous impact on the boards she sat on, with her passion for ensuring customers were at the heart of Scottish social housing.
Isabell originally joined Albyn’s board in September 1996. She was vice-chair in 2010 and chair of the board from 2011 to 2013. She then stood down in May 2018. Following a short hiatus, Isabell re-joined the board in September 2020 until her sad recent passing.
Isabell was also a non-executive director of Highland Housing Alliance from 2011 to 2013. As well as her tremendous contribution to social housing in the Highlands, Isabell was also elected to the SFHA board in August 2013, a position she held until March 2019, where she furthered her significant commitment to improving homes and services to customers, across Scotland.
Albyn’s board and staff said they will miss Isabell keenly, not only for her support of the organisation and her unstinting commitment, but also her great sense of humour and huge personality.
