Angus Place Based Prosperity Programme launches
The Angus Place Prosperity Programme is now live.
Funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and the Scottish Government Place-Based Fund, the programme is aimed at supporting communities in taking ownership or redeveloping land or buildings. It can also help to deliver community-led projects.
Angus Council has aligned the funding to streamline delivery and increase the impact of place-based investment in our communities.
The Angus Place Prosperity Programme will provide support to projects, from their first concept, through development and on to full delivery, bringing community-based ideas and projects to life.
Communities convener Mark McDonald, said: “Funding such as this underpins our determination to create vibrant communities, bringing people and places together. As councillors, we hear at first-hand about the aspirations that many people and organisations have for the places where they live and work and I am sure we will see an enthusiastic response to this funding opportunity.”
There are three streams to the Angus Place Prosperity Programme:
- Angus Feasibility Fund
- Angus Place-Based Investment Fund
- Angus Green Space fund
Guidance and criteria are available for the individual funding streams on the webpage.
The council’s dedicated Community Development Officers are available to provide guidance and support via CommEngagement@angus.gov.uk. If you want to talk a project through, or to look at the development of a project, you can also get in touch this way.
The closing date for applications is Monday 24 July 2023 at 5pm.
