Springfield Cross, located on Springfield Road in the east end of the city, consists of 36 one and two-bedroom affordable homes delivered by West of Scotland Housing Association. Upon completion, the homes will achieve Passivhaus standards of environmental performance, making it the largest of its kind in the Glasgow and Greater Glasgow area.

Passivhaus accreditation is one of the highest standards of build that can be achieved in the UK with enhanced thermal efficiency ensuring a vast reduction in space heating demand, thus, significantly lowering carbon emissions and annual energy bills for the end user.

Arc-Tech MU is responsible for the design and installation of a duel-fuel gas and electrical multi-utilities package, supporting main contractor CCG (Scotland) Ltd on behalf of West of Scotland Housing Association and development partner hub West Scotland.

Construction of the building’s superstructure will commence this spring with full completion expected in 2022.
