Ardenglen volunteers pull off another two fantastic fun events in Castlemilk
Ardenglen Housing Association’s hard working ‘Community Committee’ were praised this week after another two massively-successful Autumn events brimming with family fun.
First they hosted an Autumn Fun Day timed to offer something for all the family during the October week school holiday.
Then a week later it was time for the Hallowe’en Party which prompted an array of spectacular (and some very spooky) costumes.
Chief executive Audrey Simpson praised the efforts of the Association’s Community Committee for masterminding both events.
Audrey said: “The hard work of our Community Committee can be seen throughout the year in the many things that are organised. The men and women who make up this Committee have always put Castlemilk first and they play a key role in bringing people together. We salute their efforts and their enthusiasm.”
The Autumn Fun day had a number of highlights including a performance by musical group ‘All That Glitters’, face painting and a stall featuring products for sale made by the “Sew Fabulous” group from reclaimed fabrics.
The Hallowe’en Party offer the usual frighteningly good fun including prizes for best dressed youngsters, a magician and dancing.
