Argyll & Bute Council invites applications for community funding
Argyll & Bute Council has announced that it will now be accepting applications for support through its Supporting Communities Fund 2020/21.
Groups can apply for up to 100% of the total funding costs for their project or activity from the fund, with a maximum award of £2,500 available.
Applications for the grant, which covers all of Argyll and Bute, are open until Friday 6th December.
Applications that are agreed to have met the criteria will be scored and recommendations made to the relevant Local Area Committee for a decision to be taken by Elected Members in the spring of 2020.
The fund is aimed at supporting community projects and helping to kick start new projects. It is open to all community groups.
Applications must be able to evidence direct benefit to the local community.
Rory Colville, councillor and policy lead for community development, said: “I’m pleased that the council is once again committed to helping excellent project ideas from our communities come to fruition. There will be a lot of good ideas out there that need a financial boost and I encourage any community groups with fresh ideas to apply to the Supporting Communities Fund.”
Application forms can be found on the website and hard copies are available via the Community Development Team.
