Arnold Clark’s Vauxhall showroom and service facility on Pollokshaws Road has already closed ahead of plans being submitted for housing.

The firm has started the pre-application process required for a ‘major’ development, which in the case of residential applications means 50 units or more, reGlasgow reports.

AS Homes, in conjunction with Southside Housing Association, was given permission to build flats at the site of the former Arnold Clark garage on Allison Street, in 2019, and are currently developing the site of a former church in Castlemilk in partnership with Craigdale Housing Association.
