Association of Environment Conscious Building launches new quarterly digital publication
The Association of Environment Conscious Building (AECB) has published the first edition of a new free quarterly digital publication.
‘Setting the Standard: A movement for change’ is for members and the wider community to enjoy, contribute to and use to capture key issues and campaigns in this evolving sector.
In the publication’s foreword, Andrew Simmonds, AECB CEO, writes: “AECB’s membership has grown by 20% over the past 10 months and we are gaining traction with self-builders, individual practitioners plus large-scale design, architecture and multi-service consultancies who share our commitment to accelerate the UK’s journey to net zero.
“Our growing community brings together diverse voices, interests, skills and campaigners who shape the consensus that AECB is indeed ‘A movement for change’. This is what we aim to articulate in ‘AECB Setting the Standard’.
The theme of ‘Setting the Standard’ is that to be effective, environmental policy must deploy performance standards. Clear and specific criteria are particularly crucial in the construction sectors, as is quality control.”
