They also choose a primary school to work with to design the seasonal card that goes to all its tenants.

Over £5,000 has been distributed to the following charities: Care and Share, South Ayrshire Foodbank, Headway Ayrshire, Café Hope, Mind over Matter, Beautiful Inside and Out, South Ayrshire Cats Protection and South Ayrshire Toys Bank.

The Association has also helped pupils at Annbank Primary to go to a “virtual” pantomime.

Presenting a cheque to Cats Protection, Jim Whiston, Ayrshire Housing’s director, said: “We’re rooted in Ayrshire’s communities. These donations are just one example. Throughout the year, we also support many other groups through our community grants scheme.”
