A grant from the Association paid for goals, balls, bibs and other training aids. The sessions were held at the John Pollock Centre and were open to children and young people in north Ayr.

South Ayrshire Council supported the initiative, which was as part of the council’s summer activities programme, by providing the children’s packed lunches each day.

Ayrshire Housing’s director, Jim Whiston, said: “Whitletts Victoria has brought real pleasure to so many children with their summer coaching sessions. Ayrshire Housing is delighted to have funded the equipment that made this possible. We know it will be put to good use during future school breaks.”
