Ayrshire Housing supports school’s Scots poetry competition
Ayrshire Housing is pleased to have supported Newton Primary School’s Scottish poetry competition for a second year. The school is beside the association’s latest development at Cross Gait, Ayr which the pupils were able to visit during its building.
Director Jim Whiston was pleased to present the pupils – one from each year – with their awards at the annual school prize giving. This was held in the nearby Newton Wallacetown Church so as to be able to accommodate the whole school and the pupils’ parents and friends.
Mr Whiston said: “Support for this completion is now a permanent part of our engagement with local schools. Work with other schools over has included gardening competitions, sponsorship, and painting and photography projects.”
