Bancon lodges plan for Phase 2 of Banchory development
Bancon Homes has submitted a planning application to Aberdeenshire Council for the second phase of new homes at its prestigious Lochside of Leys development in Banchory.
The latest phase of the approved masterplan will create a total of 103 homes, comprising 79 three, four and five-bedroom detached homes as well as 24 affordable homes. It is in addition to the 56 homes currently being constructed in the first phase.
The plan for the development has been extensively revised following constructive community consultation and significantly reduces the extent of roads to be delivered as part of this project.
Allan Clow, managing director of Bancon Homes, said: “We are very pleased to be moving into the next phase of this new development, which offers homebuyers an exclusive range of homes in an exceptional place to live in Banchory, with its range of excellent amenities and one of the best schools in Scotland.
“Bancon Homes is also headquartered in Banchory, and we are delighted to contribute to the local economy as part of our planning obligations which help fund the primary school and the town’s community, recreational and healthcare facilities. In addition to this, we will be upgrading further stretches of the core path network.
“We look forward to the council’s decision in due course.”
