Be part of North Lanarkshire Federation’s housing conference
The North Lanarkshire Federation of Tenants and Residents Association’s is urging people to be part of its Annual Conference and support tenant participation throughout the region.
Taking place on Saturday 20 May, from 9am until 1:15pm, in the Excelsior Stadium, Airdrie Football Club, the event is set to be packed with lots of interesting housing news, exciting workshops and opportunities to get involved and shape housing decisions across North Lanarkshire.
Anne McGhee, chairperson of North Lanarkshire Federation, said: “North Lanarkshire Federation of Tenants and Residents Associations (NLF) works in partnership with the council and other registered social landlords in the area to develop tenant participation. Partners work together and believe tenants and local communities are vital to the decision making process and should be central to developing housing services.
“I’m encouraging people to come along and hear all about housing issues across the area and help us to strengthen and unify the voice for local tenants and residents groups.”
Looking forward to speaking at the event is Des Murray, assistant chief executive, enterprise and housing resources at North Lanarkshire Council.
He said: “This is a great opportunity for local tenants and residents to come along and engage in the key housing issues affecting their local communities.
“We’ll continue to support the Federation and its work to deliver vibrant and strong communities.”
