Bellway Homes submits 250-home plan for Braehead
Bellway Homes has submitted an application to Renfrewshire Council seeking to build 250 houses and flats on a brownfield site beside the Clyde at Braehead.
The developer wishes to build the homes on land between the Soar Intu leisure complex and Clyde View Park at King’s Inch Road, Renfrew.
The development would include 142 houses made up of a mixture of townhouses, detached and semi-detached properties. It would also include 106 flats, in four-storey blocks. The development would also have 483 car parking spaces.
The site was previously occupied by Braehead Power Station, reGlasgow reports.
The design statement reads: “A high-quality environment is envisaged, with well-designed modern homes, set around attractive and welcoming streets and public spaces.”
