Bield bids farewell to Dr Lynne Douglas
Dr Lynne Douglas is to move on as CEO of Bield following five years in the position.
Dr Douglas has successfully led Bield since November 2019, navigating a pandemic and bringing the organisation through a period of change and growth.
Following the launch of its new strategy last year, Lynne has reflected on the great work being taken forward and decided now is the right time for her to move on.
On her decision to leave, Lynne has said: “It has been an honour to lead Bield over the past five years. I am very proud of the achievements and transformations we have delivered. It is time for me to move on to some exciting national and international work and I wish Bield well and look forward to watching you achieve your potential.”
On Lynne’s departure, Paul Edie, Bield board chair, said: “On behalf of all colleagues at Bield, I would like to thank Lynne for her significant contribution to the organisation. During the past five years as our CEO her achievements are many; most notably leading the organisation through a pandemic, overseeing the development of an ambitious growth strategy that has our tenants and tech-driven solutions at the heart of it, as well as the brilliant achievements around our TAPPI work.
“Lynne is leaving a strong and resilient Bield, with a clear focus and drive to deliver our ambition over the coming years. Lynne has been a great ambassador for Bield and our tenants, working hard to ensure representation at sector discussions in Scotland, the UK and beyond. The board would like to acknowledge Lynne’s valuable contribution to Bield prior to her departure and wish her the very best for the future.”
