Bill Banks named new chair of Scotland’s Housing Network
Kingdom Group CEO Bill Banks has been appointed as the new chair of Scotland’s Housing Network (SHN).
Bill takes over the role from John Wolstencroft who steps down as chair following three years at the helm of the organisation.
On behalf of the Board and staff team, Bill thanked John for leading SHN during a significant period of change during his term as chair and said: “I am delighted to take on the role of chair at Scotland’s Housing Network and really pleased that John will be remaining as a Board member. We have a well represented and experienced Board and staff team, who understand our members’ needs.”
Bill added: “This is an exciting time for the organisation as we embark on an ambitious new strategic plan. Our plans will ensure we continue to deliver highly responsive and much valued services to our members.”
A number of other changes were made to the board with the appointment of two vice-chairs, Morag Boyter of Fife Council and Graeme Winning of East Ayrshire Council.
Scotland’s Housing Network was established in 1995 as a membership organisation for local authority and housing association landlords. There are currently 124 landlord members who work together to drive up performance and deliver quality services by means of benchmarking, self-assessment and practice exchange.
