Block of flats planned to replace vacant Partick warehouse

Plans have been drawn up for a new block of 35 flats on the site of a vacant warehouse in Partick.

Cruden Homes (West) Ltd collaborated with architects ISA to bring forward an application to Glasgow City Council.

Under the plans, new properties for private sale will be built on the corner of Burgh Hall Street and Peel Street. The development would be car-free, with 59 bike parking spaces provided for residents and visitors.

A warehouse would be demolished to make way for the building.

Private front gardens will be provided on Burgh Hall Street with rear gardens for ground floor flats and a communal space, with seating, a BBQ area and growing space, which would be open to all residents.

“The site is currently occupied by a single storey red brick and harled render warehouse, which is proposed to be demolished,” the plans state.

“The proposals will follow the established streetscape, with buildings set back from the street allowing for an area of green space in front of the building.”
