Board of management appointed as ACHA holds twelfth AGM

ACHA’s Board of management following the AGM

Argyll Community Housing Association (ACHA) held its twelfth Annual General Meeting in Inveraray last month which saw the appointment of the Board of management.

Tenant members appointed were Douglas Prophet, Cameron Grant, Sandra Glazsher and Mike Brown from Helensburgh and Lomond, Ian McIntyre from Oban, Lorn and the Isles and David Carmichael from Cowal.

Independent members appointed were Jim Milne and Danny Kelly from Helensburgh and Lomond, Bruce Marshall from Cowal and Betty Rhodick from Mid Argyll and Kintyre.

Members were advised the Argyll and Bute Council nominees were Councillors Roddy McCuish, Iain Shonny Paterson and Donnie MacMillan.

Amongst the other business undertaken were the chairperson’s formal report, presentation and adoption of Group Annual Accounts for 2017/18, external Auditor’s opinion and the appointment of chartered accountants Alexander Sloan as ACHA’s auditors for 2018/19.

Following the close of the AGM, the annual Direct Debit prize draw took place with the winner of the high street vouchers being announced as Mr McLean & Ms Stevens from Bowmore.

Alastair MacGregor, ACHA’s chief executive, said: “It was good to see ACHA members attend the AGM and be updated on the Association’s work in meeting housing need throughout the past year. It was also very refreshing to see so many people willing to give of their time voluntary to serve on ACHA’s Board.”
